5-Star athlete talent disparity in the SEC from 2018-2021

Amount of 5* players coming out of High School that committed/enrolled per each SEC school, according to 247 between the 2018-2021 classes
UGA: 20
Alabama: 16
LSU: 9
Texas A&M: 5
Auburn: 2
Everyone else combined: 0
That means Alabama and UGA, the two teams in the Natty game, have a whopping 2/3 of all 5 Star talent in the SEC. A 5 Star coming out of high school is not guaranteed to be an NFL caliber player, but they have a significantly higher chance to make it to the NFL and "stick" there than any 4 or 3 star athlete. While it is true more 3 Star* prospects get drafted, that is simply because there is a much larger pool to pull from. Despite there being so few 5 Star prospects, they still have a roughly a 40% chance of getting drafted in the first two rounds and having a long-term roster spot at the next level.

A&M will have a lot more next year. A lot more …

Which is why they win the most and why they get the best recruits. It's a revolving door that just feeds itself

I knew that had to be a BS statement. Charles Cross is 2019 5 star commit... 3 years and a NFL 1st rounder this year.

It's still not that far away, but if you missed one, how many more did you miss?

Now do a follow-up with each team's 5 star % drafted in the first round.

I thought Burch and Pickens were rated 5 star d lineman coming out of high school for SC.

I think your numbers are off. I recall Tenner have a big-time o-line prospect or two within the past couple of years.

One win each season for every 5* signed that season. Sounds about right.

So A&M is that much behind, but everyone on the board expects us to be Bama or Georgia next year bc of one recruiting class instantly? Lmao ok
