I agree that Bama contributes, but if it was just Bama, the top tier list of GOAT coaches would include:

Bill Curry
Gene Stallings
Mike Dubose
Mike Price
Dennis Franchione
Mike Shula

Y’all fricking hated them (except Stallings after your PTB ran him off).

So odds are, whoever follows Saban, and for decades after, will be subpar and turn you into the most obnoxiously frustrated fanbase in the country.

The general point of your post isn't wrong. It's going to take a strong personality to follow Saban and just being the coach at Alabama doesn't make you a great coach.

Stallings, however, doesn't belong on your list. He was exceptional. 70 wins in 7 years when the regular season was 11 games, 3 SECCG appearances, and a national title would make him the best of all time in most any other program.
