OL's vs. DL's?
Thoughts.

I don't think either group will dominate. LSU isn't going to see another O-line or D-line like Alabama's and Alabama isn't going to see an equal to LSU's lines. Both groups will have their share of victories and losses.
What might make the difference is LSU's fullback, Quinn Johnson, being able to take on additional blocks while Charles Scott plows through the line.
Terrance Cody isn't definitely a challenge, but I think Big Herm can control him enough to allow Scott to bust through.

I'll take LSU's OL against bama's DL.
prolly bama's OL against LSU's DL.

This battle between behemoths may be the crux of the season. Honestly, I can't get a feel on who will come out on top - preseason, I was pretty confident LSU would, but now... It's going to be one helluva game in BR 11/7! KC.

All I know is I like our chances with T. Cody taking on 2 blockers every play. I don't see LSU being able to run up the shoot on us which is your strength.
It'll be interesting to see what Crowton comes up with, and what Saban counters with as this year things are a little more even.

Does Alabama have an extra week to prepare?

We play Arky State, you play Tulane.

We dont need 2 players to block Cody.

I think that LSU's OL vs Bama's DL is a draw. But I still think that our DL will wear their big guys down in the second half. Fresh legs, fresh bodies, it's what they do.

Our depth will take over both lines in the 4th quarter.

Terrance Cody's obesity keeps him to what?
20 plays per game?
fata$$
he would never play at LSU
Moffitt would not allow it

I really think health at that time of the season is key. This year- edge LSU.
When it comes to trenches, should be a WWI type game .
As much as I think Bama is overrated, they do have great lines, which wins games against pissants and keeps games close/winnable against better teams.

don't be a retard, that kid's a future first round pick.

Thats current players, past coaches, opposing coaches and opposing players. He is too big and moves too well to be overpowered.
We dont need 2 players to block Cody.

I think (and hope) that things will be very even at the start of the game but the production from both LSU's OL and DL should get better as the game progresses.

Depth isn't that big of a deal this year with the new clock rules. Last year the LSU/Alabama game was over 4 hours and depth definitely played a role then. This year though, with the clock rules, every game we have played has been right at or around 3 hours.
Both teams like to run the ball, so it will be no different.
Shorter games this year void the "depth" crisis we have at Alabama. This is apparent through the first 5 games of the season.

frickING CBS
I don't have the stats, but every game on CBS was considerably longer than other games. The rant had threads every week about it.

Trio get familiar with seeing Charles Scott running dive left. Cody will be worn down. By the way Herman Johnson is bigger than Mount Cody so I guess that means Mount Cody might just be a hill that LSU will run all over.

You haven't played anybody close to the depth LSU has. If you say Georgia, you're fooling yourseff.
