Coaches are empowered to do so now. The day any ball player puts his name in the portal - the hosting school may choose to not renew the scholarship, no questions asked.

I wonder - how many people here understand - the hosting school has many, many opportunities by which to cancel a scholarship. It's only a year by year commitment - on the part of the school.
