All of this is going to end up destroying the very thing that made college football so special. The fact that it wasn’t the NFL. More corporatization doesn’t equal a better product. It is going to be NFL lite now. Those of us over mid forties may just have to leave this coming shitshow to the youngsters because I’m sure your generation will think it’s great. Us old white guys know better.

What - exactly - made it so special to you ? The notion that a player, once they walked through those doors, couldn't leave for at least four years ?
I signed a contract with the US Army for six. I really, really couldn't break that one. Didn't seem all that "special", at any time I did not, get this, renew the contract.
Tell us more - how ironclad should these "contracts" between ball players and schools be ? So that you may maximize the enjoyment of your viewing experience ?
