Roger McCreary - ESPN 1st All- American
1st Team All-SEC. (Many more awards to follow)
Zakoby - 2nd team All-SEC
Derrick Hall - 2nd team All-SEC

Definitely. I don’t put a lot into PFF but over Roger’s career he has the highest rating ever for a cornerback in their history.

Roger deserves the Jim Thorpe Award

Roger Mac’s Iron Bowl was one of the single best games I’ve seen by a DB. Especially against that talent. He moved inside a top 15 pick in my opinion on that performance

As mentioned before, McCreary was a low 3-star prospect we stole from South Alabama.
I wonder to whom he would attribute his success. Who all were his coaches? Or was he just talented all along, and was mis-evaluated out of HS?

I think Gus, Kevin Steele. his CB coach, and his parents deserve credit to varying degrees. But mostly he deserves all the credit. He was an unexciting late January pickup yet he blossomed.
