I agree with this, but when is the juice worth the squeeze?
Doesn’t his value (for first contract) go down considerably if he isn’t a day 1? I know nothing about NFL contracts, as I don’t watch it. I realize it will be more than NIL, but if he comes back and gets that big 1st round contract, would that be worth it? Don’t most players only get 1 contract?

Unless his NIL deal is 7 figures with various guarantees if an injury occurs next season
