How is this within the rules? NIL deals are not supposed to be tied to a specific university.

There were always going to be ways around that but this seems to be a straight forward blatant violation.

That's only an interpretation of Oklahoma law. That's not NCAA rules. And it's certainly not Texas law.

Nothing in there saying someone can't pay a teams players specifically. You just can't use the Universities image and likeness in that promotion.

Buddy, we have THE most gun shy chicken-shite fraidycat compliance department in all of college football. If these deals got past them, it's fully legal and within the rules.
