Seems that every new coach has fans at the airport nowadays. Venables just landed in Norman and had the band and a ton of fans there.
Did our "we want a leader not a loser" guy start this trend?

Nope, hundreds of Bama fans met Saban at the airport when he was hired. One of them even sexually assaulted him:

God this thread has reminded me just how awful it’s been seeing Bama fans get everything they claimed they deserved for 20 years.

And yeah, there are so many people at Bama just waiting in the wings for Saban to retire so they can try and exert influence like they did from roughly 92-07.
