Fayetteville pays well for Police Departments.

Fayetteville has the lowest number of officers per capita of a major city in Arkansas.

Fayetteville offers bonuses for new officers, and existing officers who transfer.

Fayetteville STILL can't fill its roster.

We did not have that problem before our city council voted to reject free federal funding for two school resource officers and turned a minor city council vote into multiple meetings of BLM pandering and nonsense.

It has way more to do with that than the unemployment rate.

The trouble finding new police recruits is a nationwide trend, not a Fayetteville-specific thing LINK

Do I believe that Fayetteville is having more trouble than a more conservative city in Arkansas? Sure, wouldn't surprise me
