How Could So Many People Be Wrong About What Started the Hill FIght?

Everything I read here from LSU fans said that the guy was a racist who was using the N-word and that's what caused the fight.
Several people "knew" this to be the truth.
Now it turns out, his defense is simply "he made fun of me for committing a sex crime." No racial words used at all.

This is why people roll their eyes every time the race card is played. There is real racism out there, but you are doing race relations and the civil rights movement a disservice by crying wolf as your first defense every time.
Now, making fun of someone for a sex crime conviction isn't cool and is just asking to get punched. Especially if this guy did this unprovoked (and Hill's crime had more to do with age than violence/intimidation). But at the same time, he should have squared off with the prick, not punched him from behind.
Be careful with the race card guys, it's not something to play lightly.

That's strange that a guy, presumably an LSU fan, would just up and be like "yer a fuggin' rapist, man!" to a star LSU running back. Seems like Hill instigated it, or shite, maybe it was some meathead, Lafayette type that just wanted to start shite with a football player, who really knows.

LSU fans are too insecure. They want to defend criminals.

If there were an LSU dildo, I have no doubt you'd be the first purchaser so you could ride it all day long.

there is pretty much never a legitimate excuse to punch somebody in the back of the head.
I don't give a shite what they said to you.

No, Hill should have
A) Not committed a sex crime to begin with
B) Walk away, don't try to prove you're a man to some drunk
C) Teabag him and/or poison his trees

I really, really hope so.
Honestly, it would suck to see LSU's best player to get booted two years in a row.

How does using a word start a fight? It's a word... How does that justify a physical altercation?

I know what would happen. I am just saying that I don't know how we, as a society, got to where if you say a certain insult to someone, then they are justified to best your arse.
Personally, I don't use that word, but for God sake... It is a word.
