Has this ever happened before?
LSU fired O, and entered bowl with an interim (and, like, 4 scholarship players)
LSU enters March Madness with an interim coach, after firing Wade.
I mean, if Paul Mainieri had stepped down a little earlier, could gone for the trifecta.

I mean this isn't even the first time in the last 5 years LSU Basketball has gone to the NCAAT with an interim coach
LSU's last 3 NCAAT trips have all had a different coach
2019 : Tony Benford
2021 : Will Wade
2022 : Kevin Nickelberry

That shite would kill a lot of major programs. Must be nice to be the only major school in such a talent rich state

No, just specifically basketball. Just kind of fascinating.

Had LSU not declined an NIT invite in 2016, they would have had a interim coach for the NIT in basketball and an interim coach (Orgeron) in football later that year.

Ignore all this insignificant shite.
What's really important is Aggy playing in the NIT tonight.
Poor Aggy

Imagine you're a 4 year player like Darius Days. Here is how his 4 years have gone
2018-2019 - his head coach was suspended by the school before the NCAAT
2019-2020 - COVID cancels NCAA tournament right after SECT begins
2020-2021 - his head coach actually coaches him in the postseason
2021-2022 - his head coach is fired 6 days before the NCAAT
so 3 out of his 4 years his NCAAT was ruined within a week or so before the NCAAT began

The L$U athletic program is a dumpster fire. They may need to shut it down for a year or two just to get back on their feet.

Has there ever been a Western Illinois poster on this board? Makes you wonder if West Illinois is his team or is it a sneaky gump or Ole Miss fan

2000 - DuBose
2001 - Fran
2002 - Fran
2003 - Price (spring)
2003 - Shula (fall)
Recruiting class of 2000 did not have a good time.
