Looks the best game on at the moment. Man I wish I could be in Happy Valley.

Their entire game so far looks alot like our first half.
I’m sure they will prove me wrong next week but they look extremely slow

Looks pretty evenly matched for next week. PSU's Defense plays as a unit. Our defensive front looks better but their secondary gets the nod. Both tackle well.
They seem to have fewer playmakers on offense but they get the job done. Their QB looks very similar to Bo Nix. He's about the same size, has some wheels when he needs them, looks more consistent with good decisions over time, but doesn't throw the long ball as often. Maybe that's on the receivers/OC.
Very blue collar team. They look well coached.
PSU gets at least a 10-point bump for playing at home. Auburn will be tested for sure. They better come prepared mentally.

Idk I’m watching the highlights and their O-line looks weak.

They have the #80 rush offense. Auburn has the #2 rush defense currently. Should be able to make them 1 dimensional.

quote:Agree. I like AU's defense versus their offense. Their defense looked pretty stout versus Wisky, but with Tank toting the rock and hopefully Bo playing a good game I like AU's chances.

They played Wisconsin. We've played no one. Now, I'm not saying we can't be great against the rush, I'm just saying that's a crap ranking.

AU has to stop the run and not let Dotson get behind them for explosive plays.
It’s going to tough for AU on offense. Wisconsin did alright rushing and if they just took care of the ball in the red zone they would have won. Bo Nix has to step up and keep drives alive and protect the ball.
It should be a good low scoring game.

So? Wisconsin looked like garbage against Eastern Michigan last Saturday too.

Hear me now and believe me later. Whisky is definitely not a push-over, especially in their house. I watched the whole game.
IF PSU had a decent plan to stop Whisky's run game, then it worked well enough on the road, early in the season. They made a statement,, hence their #11 ranking.
Honestly, and I have not yett thoughht through how to attack and beat PSU other than we just beat thee shite out of them and wear them down over to course of 4 qtrs. I think we have the depth, some experience and plenty of talent in our 2-4 deep. Sorry, Grant. Use that clipboard well. You have two jobs - work your clipboard and signal in the plays. Errybody has roles to play.

You're probably right, Wisconsin would have 2 Ls with our schedule.

I'd love to upvote and hell yeah, but.
But, really yall, stats like that mean absofricking shite two games in. Come on. There are a few caps in that Kool-Aid you (me!) want to drink.
Just saying, and sorry if it came out personally as I didn't mean to (I'm channeling Ellitor here).
We will all definitely find out on Saturday what Auburn is made of. I didn't name a single player, coach, team, etc. To repeat (Pete / repeat), on Saturday, we (I) will find out what Auburn is. Now.
It has been a while. War fricking Eagle.

Bull,
The start of the season with two cupcakes involving a new coaching staff, new systems and offensive schemes was exactly what the cook ordered. In game one we started out PERFECT. Showing the system that we were clicking on all cylinders perfectly. In game two following a script of Auburn doesn't play well at 11:00 AM no matter the opponent ...we started slow, then the paint was peeling from the walls in the locker room at halftime, and our young Tigers came out with a roar in the third quarter.
I think our young Tigers have bought into what the new coaching staff have brought to the table. These kids look well rehearsed, know exactly what the plan is and exactly what is expected ...especially is the rumors about that locker room at halftime was real ....Those kids found out that mediocre was no longer tolerated. An expected 28-20 win against a far inferior ASU team was not accepted.
Gus would be at 1-1 at this time and the fist one would not have the drubbing this team provided in the beat down of game one. It always irritated the hell out of me when the first game Gus team took the field to start a season and we looked like we had never played football before.
This Harsin era started on target, on key and precise.

You had me until "Gus would be at 1-1" right now.

Yeah, Gus would be 2-0. It just wouldn’t have looked nearly as good.

My tease was that Gus would have found a way to come close to, if not lose to at least ASU. We can differ on that. Due to the fact that Gus had the potential to not only have the team unprepared for game one .....But have a motivational factor present in the locker room to melt the paint off the walls against ASU. This team came out ready to kick butt and took control. I believe the Gus team ....stays stagnant.
We can differ on that ....but not differ on this.
Harsin is not playing with his nose all game long.

Yep, subtract maybe 5 touchdowns over the last 2 games if under Gus. Part of it appears to be better discipline and a killer mentality under Harsin, but another significant factor is Harsin knows he needs to start out with as much positive momentum as possible...60 point wins do that. There's no way Gus let's a second string QB come in and throw that bomb on Saturday.

With the white out, is Auburn still wearing away all white uniforms?

What Gustav would have done that Harsin hasn’t is run Tank 25-30 times in these type of games, especially if the offense is struggling like it did in the first half against ASU.
For the first time since maybe 2013, if something unfortunate happens to our #1 RB we aren’t dead in the water offensively.
