My wife and I are close friends with a woman that does all of the "salon" type stuff for Mrs Chizik (all that day spa type shite). She told our friend that Gene thought it would be his last season (this was either after the first or second game).
I know... he said she said whatever BS. If you hate these types of posts then forget you ever read it. I just thought it was interesting.

I believe you. He probably saw the writing on the wall after spring practice. I mean when Kiehl could barely beat out a guy that couldn't throw and was injured, cant read a defense, and loves to take sacks it was pretty easy to tell.

From the playcalling to the demeanor of the coaches during and after the game, it's pretty obvious a lot of these guys have already quit on the team. I don't think Chizik or Loeffler has his heart in it anymore.

Our offensive line has been shite for 2 straight years.
ETA: and for all you couch OCs, the reason we don't run straight up the middle, the reason all our long runs are on the outside, is because the interior of the line gets ZERO push 95% of the time.

Not sure I believe he said that, but looking at the product on the field I would say he quit coaching after last season.

Give me a top 30 scoring defense any fricking year.
18.3 ppg would have been...
2011 - 3rd in SEC
2010 - 3rd in SEC
2009 - 5th in SEC
And would rank just behind the 2008 & 2007 defenses.
