I hear some podcasters saying this, and it was said by Freeze as well.

Im kinda slow at math, but if your offense is going fast and scoring, who givea a fck on the defensive side of the ball?

The problem is when you go fast for 4 three and outs in a row and they get worn down. Then want to blame them when they start getting gashed in the second half.

Golesh needs to bench bling king and put in Tia if the Georgia game starts the same way. Better to let the kid get some experience, this season is toast once again.

I tend to agree. If your D was good it would limit the oppositions offense to 3 and out. A good D can stand on its own. But an offense does need to be able to stand on its own.

I am kind of tired of people calling out a fast offense. I see people reaching and blaming offense. It is a balance but again a good D can make it's own fate.

I think the root of that question is those coaches who think they have some sort of superior "system".

They don't. They never have. If the other teams is better at blocking and tackling than you are, they usually win.

If you suck at defense and the other team doesn't, but you have a great offense and the other team just has a good offense....well, the other team is usually going to win.

Coaches who say things like the OP's subject usually never win consistently, instead they tend to lose disastrously.
