I was really happy to have Gus. Why why why go away from a true DT QB? It’s was so fun to watch and so effective. We should have recruited two a year, including the one who plays for the Ravens right now. I know it’s a topic that has been beat to death, but it just makes zero sense the direction Gus has taken.

It’s called hubris.... he got away from what was working bc he is arrogant in thinking he could run a more traditional O

I’m watching too, and my God how small our defensive lineman were. They look like our LB’s now. Auburn has to keep recruiting d lineman in the 285-320 range.

Most DL’men are going to look small compared to Derick Brown.. get ready for next year.

I forgot how big a lead we had on them in the first half.

Seems like we forget that even at its most potent, Gustav’s offense disappears for long stretches.

Our last 4 possessions before the miracle yielded 3 points and maybe 70 total yards, and we went from 20 points up to trailing by 1.

IMO it was the issue with Gus' O before we knew there would be an issue with Gus' O.

He went from sitting on leads against top opposition to not getting them

I think the substitution rule affected our Offense a lot more than we know

We always say “why does he not use true dual threat..” , but we’re always referring to Nick and Cam. The two best running qbs ever besides Vick and Lamar.

So what were really saying is why can’t we have the best running qb every year. Maybe because people with nuts the size of Cam and Nick only come around very rarely.

We see quaterbacks large and small utilized in ways that benefits dual threat quaterbacks. The more gifted running QBs do better in designed run plays, sure.

We’ve seen Nick Fitzgerald and Garret Schraeder run to some success at State. The TF Plumlee out of Ole Miss already has 700 yards rushing this season as well. Plenty of designed runs there. Those quaterbacks just can’t throw very well.

If Nix is a great runner, he’s hardly given the chance to show that talent. He picks up yardage on scrambles and a few pulls, but he’s hardly been given his chances.

With our backup quarterback gone he probably will be given even less a chance

20 point lead in the 4th quarter, and the game was almost blown.

LOL. And there it is. Even a thread about a game where we almost won every single game with a dominating offense gets a "Gus Sucks" post.

It doenst help that we gave up 21 points in 6 minuets in the 4th quarter.

Even after the Hail Mary we tried to blow it with only 18 seconds left. Murray and Georgia got down to the 20 with one more pass attempt available.

Honestly there was no real answer for that offense.

Made possible by our "dominating offense" running only 6 plays for -1 total yards during that stretch.
