So take away tGOAT and we've had 2 guys in the past 5 season eclipse 15 passing tds.

So if we take out Cam's season (you have to take the year out as well) half of the time Malzahn produces a QB that throws for 15 or more touchdowns.

Yes, three of the top five AU seasons with the most TDs by a Passer belong to Malzahn

If you take out Heisman trophy winners, Campbell is the only non Gus AU QB with 20 TDs in a season with exactly 20

I don't have "I have concerns about a guy starting" when I describe him as "Damn Good"

There is difference between concerns about Cam Newton floating a few balls a little high in 2010 and Sean White not even beating out Mr. Herp Derp + JF3 as a returning starter

Well learn how to properly use quotes and it will probably help you out. I said it was completely reasonable to have concerns about White. What you quoted is something no one in this thread has said and has a completely different tone.

Obviously there's different levels of concern.

I should have said there is Jo player on Auburns roster that I would describe as 'Damn Good' that isnt pretty much guaranteed starter.

You said Sean White was 'damn good.' There hasn't been a single game where Sean White was even close to above average in his career.

Passing Offense

Nationally

2015 AU 111th
2014 AU 67th
2013 AU 108

Conference

2015 AU 12th
2014 AU 7th
2013 AU 11th

Malzahn passing game =

Not sure why some of you defend any and everything that's brought up against him. I like him too but his offense is seriously flawed.

JMO here, but I think he looked fantastic vs. Arkansas. Take away the 9 or so drops and his stat line would've been ridiculous.

Three straight games of 250+ yards from a RS Freshman against SEC competition isn't "even close to above average"? ok

Those stats have nothing to do with what you posted.

you are seriously complaining about the passing offense in 2013 & 2014 based on yards per game?

are you mentally handicapped?

He obviously has some issues but it is my opinion that JJ is the only QB on the roster that has the talent to make our offense dynamic. I'm hoping he can get whatever was going on between his ears last season sorted out because if he doesn't I think we are in for a long season.

I definitely think that 55% passing, only 1 TD and 1 INT against stalwarts like Kentucky + #100+ ranked Arkansas/Ole Miss defenses is impressive. Put it this way, Arkansas & Ole Miss rankings improved because of Sean White's numbers

To understand not close to average, let's compare him to other RS FR or true SO in the league last year

SO Kyle Murray
: 3Game Stretch -> Alabama, MState, Arkansas

315yards per game >60%, 2TD:1 TD: INT ratio 2-1 record

Transferred out of TAMU since he wasn't good enough to lock down starting role

RS FR Will Grier Mizz/Tenn/OleMiss

255 ypg >60%, 2:1 TD:INT ratio 3-0 record

Transferred from UF widely speculated due to him not being best QB on roster

SO Brandon Allen
LSU Florida/South Carolina/Top25 Western Kentucky

240 ypg, >60%, 7:0 TD:INT ratio, 3-0 Record

A guy a lot of people talk negatively about due to his inability to pass

If he plays like he did against Arkansas last year, and we have recievers that can catch white is our best option

Too bad we don't play against the #117 ranked passing defense 12 games in a row. We'd have an amazing shot with Sean White's 250 yards and 1:1 TD/INT ratio

As a freshman with no help, I was impressed.
