Don't think effort is Thorne's issue. I think it's something that may not be able to be fixed.

Didn't he miss many open routes?

Didn't he fumble?

I'm not a hater. I'm not that kind of fan, but he has not lead us to very many wins.

I don't have a problem with trying anyone that somehow may jumpstart the offense. Maybe a miracle will happen.

I thought you trusted Freeze’s judgement? Now instead of doing what he thinks is best for the team, he’s just appealing to the fans?

no he isn't. Thorne isn't him. We have seen that over a year plus. His decision making is abysmal. He is seeing what Hank is. Give him games and IF you need to hit the portal, hit it hard. This season has been thrown out with the bath water.

Folks on boards get pretty tribal about QBs. Losing to Cal changes the math on the season enough, IMO, to take some chances. I don’t think Hank Brown is a sure thing by any means. I just think that losing to cal lowers our ceiling enough to go another direction if we want. And it seems that Freeze wants

So we’ll see .

Its kind of a "My body, my choice" - "Take this shot or else" kinda situation

This season has just begun. Everyone knew what Thorne was. Some were blinded by optimism with the new additions at wide out, but we knew. Come pressure time, Thorne folds like a cheap tent. He will never lead a game tying or game winning drive for Auburn. He isnt that guy. He isnt a gamer. He is a chart flipper whose dad was a coach.

Sadly he was better than every option we had previously when he arrived so we got stuck with him last year. And laughably by game three year 2, Hank has overtaken him for the top spot.

This is DTHB's chance to take the reins and not look back. Could be an exciting year

From Freeze's mouth "no QB is particularly close to Thorne" on decision making and offense familiarity.

I have no doubt Thorne looks good when he knows he isn't getting hit. When the lights come on............he just does not have it.
