Kid finished plays, that’s for damn sure.

Nowadays, I wouldn’t worry as much where a kid starts college. We’ve seen the products come to Auburn from all over creation

Truth.

And we have recruited OTs from all over creation

Remember that "stud" tackle from Rice we missed out on.

Is OT the hardest position to project in recruiting?

This is easy for me to say because I’m not in this situation. If my 6’6, 300~lb son had college options, I’d prioritize fit - inclusive of opportunity to play but also scheme. I’d have conversations with those schools about how they make tape available (games, practices, so on). There’s big differences there

I think P4 schools these days increasingly look everywhere for OL. It’s a high bust position from HS because a lot of jumbo athletes peak athletically early, very tough to sift out who has untapped elite physical potential.

I follow USM football as well. Coach Huff has done a great job with that program turning it around in his short time there. IMO he is a rising star in the coaching ranks.

What sort of degree does he want?

He wants to be a football coach on day so physical education or sports management.

Some of his high school coaches have Troy connections but I have no idea how the next couple of months turn out, recruiting has been quiet since the season started. I’ve been told by a guy that played D1 that his first offer didn’t hit until after his senior season.

I would consider that some Div 1 Coaches would frown on the “after the play pancake”

Officials doing practices and scrimmages in Florida get asked to keep track of given numbers and offer an on the field assessment. We get better post scrimmage interviews than coaches and players.

Vanderbilt linemen just flagged for diving on defensive linemen with play at the sideline.

Go get the next guy once you got them on the ground

1st clip.

Lose contact. Then block in the back, then pancake….

Get an Umpire that argues with his wife on the way to game…..15 for the block in the back, then piling on.

Inform him if contact is broken DO NOT BLOCK IN THE BACK….if he has contact the entire way, it’s a good block.
