From AU undercover:

“ that's just three scholarship backs on the roster for the fall, assuming Jackson is reverted back to a walk-on”

Why would they pull Jackson’s scholarship? Really?

Because we want to win ballgames mainly.

He may and he may not get reverted off of his scholarship, but he hasn’t been anything special and you continuing to bring him up like he’s a great back Auburn shows a real disconnect in your talent evals.

I would be surprised if Brother Hugh took away the scholarship.

He’s evidently a hard worker, and he’s a big body which we don’t have in the room without him.

He’s a special teams guy as well I think.

I doubt Coach Freeze or Coach Cadillac are looking to push him out the door.

He will be our champagne pony next year and that will be the gist of his career.

Running great after we are already up 30…

I figure for 40 carries:
A mixture of
Cowboy: 20-25
Alston: 10-20
Cobb: 0-10

Jackson might be a short yardage option.

Yeah he could be a short yardage option but Jarquez needs those carries. He is a monster that we need in those situations.. He squats 600 pounds and eats nails for breakfast.

He contributes a lot on special teams. I’d say that deserves a scholarship.

I’m gonna let Freeze determine if he deserves a scholarship.

oh my bad. He is an amazing talent that will start for us next year....oh wait, he wont. He will ride the bench and play special teams and thats it. He isnt an SEC caliber back. I'll put my evaluating skills against yours anyday

True.
Maybe true.

At some point though, IF you cut everyone who does not play, it’s hard to have a practice.

Cobb jumps Alston.

RB1 Hunter, RB2 Cobb, distant RB3 Alston

There’s a reason Georgia was after Cobb. He’s really, really good.

I haven’t been pumping Sean since he picked up the scholly.

I have even said he might be an option to move to H-Back which is mainly just a blocker.

But like I said Sean will not be dropped off his scholarship.
