I’m just making sense of the article. You have dug into defending Harsin at all costs and I’m past that.
You have compared our transfers out to Georgia’s and have compared Harsin to Saban. I have nothing to gain from this discussion. I’m obviously not going to be able to show you an article where Harsin said himself he hated NLI, so the discussion is over.

I'm forming them myself based on what he has done his 14 months HERE

The best athletes in the world make more money than Bryan Harsin. I wonder if he's worried about himself being distracted.

No I haven't. I've asked for actual reasons to doubt him other than shitty opinions.

Not me, wrong guy.

Exactly what I expected you to say since you have absolutely nothing of substance to offer.

This is a really impressively dumb analogy.

At the most basic level, you're saying that:
Person A who has money and means for the first time in their life is just as much at a risk of being distracted by said money and means and what it takes to maintain those
is the same as
Bryan Harsin, a millionaire football coach who could literally retire tomorrow and never work another day in his life being distracted because Tom Brady makes more money than him.
Its dumb man. Very dumb.

Offensive line recruiting was cause enough

you picked tom brady? the oldest smartest guy in the league?
regardless of whether some college players might somehow get distracted to the point where they aren't sufficiently contributing, it's been decided that players have the right to actually seek compensation for use of their faces and abilities. i think that's fair. regardless, it's the new norm, and i would prefer a coach who supports poor dudes getting paid for what they do.

Here's where I am. Harsin has some great ideas and great overall vision of what he wants the program to look like. He could be a great coach. We have boosters who are overly eager to be involved, which is a great thing with NIL here and could be a huge asset. They need to be put in their place by a strong HC. Like I said above that could have been Harsin. Unfortunately for everyone involved they just don't get along, and this simply won't work. I think Harsin needs a change of scenery, or take his $ and give NFL coaching a chance. The boosters need to not only find a coach they like but also RESPECT enough to hear him out when he tells the boosters how best they can help.
Until the boosters do their part it won't make a difference who the damn coach is

I've got time today, so I'll play along.
Gus Malzahn is a great (not good) man. He ran a very clean program, he was an excellent leader in the community, and by all accounts all the players loved him.
It is not Gus' fault that we gave him a ridiculous buyout clause, because quite frankly, he had probably earned the extension and the annual salary.
We fired Gus because after 7 years he had not built a program that was going in the right direction. He became ridiculously predictable. Numerous quarterbacks regressed under him. We got our brains absolutely beat in on several occasions when we shouldn't have. It was time.

Why not? Is it because he isn't necessarily Bobby Petrino or Rick Pitino and not really desirable?
we accused him of being racist. The NBA took a franchise from Donald Sterling for being a racist. The same happened with Marge Schott in MLB. That is a scarlet A. We also accused him with having an affair with an employee. Who in their right mind would hire somebody who has had those accusations made against them?

Feel free to change it to Emmanuel Sanders (6 mil per year)

Does Harsin think its unfair?

Again, what makes you think Harsin doesn't support it? You can support folks getting paid and still be concerned about keeping them focused....

If he could have trusted the offensive staff to do their jobs and just oversee it from 30000 feet, in the NIL era he could have been a monster.
I almost respect him for his stupid arse dance after Miss State and saying what he said. Looking back that was his big "frick You" as he walked out

You’ve been resistant to ever bit of feedback to why Harsin isn’t some hero. You actually said this which shows how dug in you are:
quote:
I was pumped the day we hired him. Still very glad he is our guy. Quite frankly, his behavior and approach to everything inspires even more confidence for me.

Exactly what I expected you to say since you have absolutely nothing of substance to offer.
What is there of substance out there? There is a piece by Montgomery Advertiser. Thats it. If hate for NLI doesn’t explain his recruiting then maybe he really is a shitty recruiter

He retained his job at Auburn. Apparently what Mason said didn’t carry water here and wouldn’t elsewhere.
