This is why I said we are being played. Harsin would have to be the dumbest man on the planet if he refused to cooperate. It’s not just this job he has to worry about but any future jobs as well. First thing they’d ask is why did you refuse to cooperate? It sounds to me like someone took a mundane policy update and fed it right into the Harsin rumor mill. One does not equal the other but you can generate a lot of clicks if you’re a beat writer and put it out there

Marcello just said that Harsin is telling people he plans to be in Birmingham tomorrow.

Marcelo just stated on this Twitter space that Harsin is telling people around him that he will be in Bham tmw.
Damn. Man has balls.

If Auburn thinks they have cause surely they stop him?
Either way Harsin planning to go is really funny

Why would he? He’s still employed, so unless they tell him otherwise, he’ll be going to the coaches meeting. He has all the leverage right now, they just don’t want to pay the $18.3 million he’s owed. Eventually they’ll have to pay him, whether it’s with a buyout or in court later.

Guys I’m really at a loss here on the mentality of those running the program. If they would take a fraction of the payout $$$ blown on contracts and direct inject it into NIL we would not be in this situation. If it’s as bad down there as I’ve be told by a few that would know we may never get off the mat from this. If you care about the program we’ve got to demand accountability from those in charge.

I asked Marcello about the wording of "modified" and if that meant there could have just been a small change made to the policy.. He isn't sure yet, but he reached out to Auburn to find out more and get some clarification.

Forget NIL, think of the average cost of some of the new facilities coaches have been begging for since forever. Forty million could be invested in any of those. He’ll Auburn arena cost right at 90 million to build. We are pissing away millions because we are so dysfunctional

Wednesday night update on the Bryan Harsin Saga: I don’t see a scenario right now where Bryan Harsin takes a reduced buyout.

Soooo, does that mean that he’s not racist, did not have sex with that woman, and did not bully staff and/or players?
Does this mean that the PTB just don’t like him because he’s not a good ole boy, and want him gone, no matter the cost?

So he must not feel like they have anything on him.

Repeat: the beat writers don’t know shite

It means he wants 18.3 million to be fired
Even I could understand that.

He knows they don’t have anything on him

He has quite the leverage. Either pay me 18.3 or let me bury your program even more.

You think Harsin’s burying the program right now? Seems like a man is sticking up for himself while faced with an assault on his character and reputation.
