I have received new information from my source: Smart has gained significant ground today and could potentially beat out Petrino who is expected to interview tomorrow. Odds of Petrino have dropped from 60% to 50%.

How has Smart made that big of a jump? I need to know he has a shot at being a good coach. We would catch hell if we hired him.

I'm torn on Smart...he could be another Chizik or....potentially another Mushamp which would be good.

Go look at everything posted by Tate, Marsh, and all of the other guys that HAVE to produce info and its clear they're just pulling information out of the air because they're all over the place. They don't know what is going on. Most of them couldn't say for sure Chizik was being canned.

Exactly. These guys are not in the know. They only know stuff when it's about to break, just like with most sites. They need subscribers and hits on the site to have the site running. The recruiting is probably the only thing they would know more than anything else.

I don't know who's being hired. But less than a month ago you guys would have taken Neil Callaway to get rid of Chizik. I understand the risks involved with Smart, especially nobody having an understanding of just how much control of the defense he has, but I would still rather have him than Strong, Gus, Franklin, or Butch. We could do far worse.
