petrino /my poll

This. I haven't really assessed the other two. Petrino would be in the middle of his press conference right now if it were up to me.

It would've taken you that long? I would've hired him the day I fired Gene Chizik.

I would've made the decision then but I would've waited till now when the support for Petrino is at its highest.

If those are our choices.......

1)Petrino
2)Take next year off and see who is available at the end of the season.
3)Malzhan
4)Re-hire Gene Chizik
5)John L. Smith
6)Kirby Smart if nobody else would take the job

I'd have done it jetgate style. Let Chiz find out when petrino showed up to claim his office.

Don't go full retard. Smart would still be x1000 better than Chizik.

Sorry, I have to see what he does without being under Saban. 1 year RB's at UGA doesn't cut it for me.

You really think Chizik is better than Smart?

JGT doesn't seem to be 100% convinced it is Smart. I'm wondering if this stems from Smart interviewing extremely well not necessarily that he is set in stone going to be our coach.

Please God hear my prayers, bring in BMFP

I don't think you can make a fair assesment on Smart right now. Other than being a DC under Saban, he has nothing else to show.

I can agree with that. You can't say that Chizik is better than him though if you can't give Smart a fair assessment yet though.

JGT isn't. LB7 might be. I still hold out that BP will be interviewed (or has been).

But you said Smart was that much better than Chizik.
OK, I won't say better but really? Has this program taken such a nosedive that a rival's DC that may POSSIBLY be better than our former HC be our best option other than Petrino?

Information that is underwraps is so fluid. JGT doesn't seem convinced and LB7 I think believes it to be true now but he isn't committing to it for a reason

Ok. Maybe we both went full retard but i think Smart would be an improvement over Chizik. No he's not our best option but we have an incompetent AD if he does hire any besides Petrino.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Smart a strong recruiter? Let's say that he really has some real credit for the defense at Bama. He could be a good get at the end of the day. However, I have my doubts and feel like AU is better than that. With all that said, what the hell do I know? Not a damn thing.

I also think JJ is doing his best at going full retard.
