It is an NCAA thing I believe specific for the Supers.
Also, I don't think i've ever seen a fanbase complain as much as Ole Miss has this week about things. Goodness gracious. Rhett Hobart has been absolutely bodying them, it has been glorious to see.

Summary: Ole Miss writer crying because they requested an additional 25 (allowed number but not required to be blocked off by host) hotel rooms last minute and the hotel they originally booked didn't have room. AU had blocked off the NCAA required amount of rooms. Ole Miss forced to split between hotels, more crying. I think the Hotel fricked up some too, but Auburn had nothing to do with it.
Hobart: We solved the issue you created within 6 hours of being made aware of it. Plan better next time idiots.
Then a bunch of bellyaching from Ole Miss fans about the chairs as well as the game times/days to play and Hobart just providing the receipts of the NCAA rules where Auburn had to comply the way they are complying to accomodate.
He is quickly becoming one of my favorite AU employees. Really seems to have a good pulse for the fan experience and trying to make it as good as possible with resources available.

Hobert called him out for being untruthful. The rooms for the team were booked and contract signed but the hotel then double booked them. Auburn and Ole Miss found this out at the same time. Auburn then put them in another hotel that had enough for the original rooms plus the 25 extra. This activity took 6 hours.

It's actually a decent one as well, as far as lower cost hotels go. Those poor souls. I truly hope they were able to survive their perilous journey.
