It’s not. It is merely discussion. It is not always going to be roses.

Not even with Pearl. Team looks lazy and uninspired today. Everybody could see it. It’s not going to hurt anyone’s feeling by talking about it.

I was talking abut this when broome could do no harm against alabama. And then the In-Bruce-I-Trusters came out. I am glad to see Bruce and I are always gucci.

Bruce Pearl notes Johni Broome held Tolu Smith to a season-low 9 points.

So you are insinuating that I am a "fake" basketball fan?
I sat in Beard-Eaves Mausoleum many times in those awful wooden seats, have been following AU basketball through all the lean years, and reserve the right to state the obvious when I see it.
We got our arse beat tonight because we were sloppy and lazy.
This was probably the worst game overall that we have played this year.
On the road in the SEC that won't get it done.

A lazy basketball team doesn't go into halftime only giving up 21 points.

They do when the opposing team goes 0-6 from the line, and can't hit the broad side of a barn from the field more so than we can't. We should have been down double digits at halftime and it's a miracle we weren't.
There is no excuse for how this team played today.
Lost a game we should have won. Period.
That said, I am not saying all is lost, but we need to figure out how to beat good teams on the road.

However, Tolu had some nice assists when we doubled him.
He’s an all SEC level big.

Pearl said we played good defensively in the first half and I agree with him. Show me the uncontested shots.

Teams win and lose on the road a lot. The no excuse stuff is a bunch of bullshite. We did not match up well with them at all especially with Cardwell in foul trouble.

That is because you saw a scrappier team out scrap us. So it maybe felt like we were playing lazy, but that kind of ball isnt in our DNA. We haven't been winning rebounding battles at all. Bama destroyed us there and in second chance points despite Bruce saying their practice was extra intense. We can win without being the scrappiest

Get off your fricking high horse.
I'm not crying, I am stating my opinion.
You get outrebounded 45-28 because you lack the effort to get those rebounds. Rebounding is about effort and hustle.
We were lacking in that department.
And yes, Cardwell getting a foul per minute didn't help.

We have been getting outrebounded and Bruce said he was majorly concerned with that before the game. The team plays like energizer bunmy though.

How come all these shooters get to Auburn and they end up unproductive? I’m just really tired of dribbling around and throwing it up before the shot clock runs out.

I dont know but stop shooting is a different message I've heard from Bruce in the past. Then he encouraged "keep shooting" to players like Cambridge.

Up until last night. The effort was there against the turds, but it was lacking last night. I'm not the only one holding this POV either. You are in the minority on this one.
