Now Auburn has had one of the best defenses in the country the past couple seasons and South Carolina fans are wanting Martin fired

Martin is a great coach IMO, but its hard to recruit kids to SC in the middle of ACC basketball country. Bruce, blessed be his name, has shown the ability to win anywhere (and I do mean anywhere) because he is a great coach AND recruiter. Personality is the edge Bruce has on Frank. Martin would kill it with the classes Pearl is bringing in, but I don’t think he’ll ever land them.

Martin just straight up sucks at recruiting. He hates doing it. Ask a South Carolina fan, they'll tell you all about it. Kansas State fans had the same gripe when he was there too.
Martin couldn't even steal Ja Morant from Murray State, and yes South Carolina did target Morant.

That first part is the understatement of the decade already.
Have you not seen what's going on with Martin and South Carolina this season? Martin's been throwing tantrums and refusing to coach for stretches, mocking his own players.

At this point I'm not sure it would matter how much talent he has. They actually have a decent squad this year from a talent standpoint. But the man isn't just losing fan support, he's losing support from his own players bc of his behavior.
He's basically Tony Barbee personality wise, he's just a good X's and O's coach

This is the key attribute missing from the football program imo. Bruce has really shone a light on some deficiencies that i don't think i knew existed. Bruce is that good

UGA beating Memphis is huge for the league and also might mean UGA could be a factor in the SEC race.
