Can we find an illness on a family member of Jamal Johnson to add some immediate depth?

We have plenty of back court depth already. This wouldn't help. Spencer, McLemore and even Chuma are all reliable options to play center. Plus Purifoy is a solid emergency option to play the 4

The person we should have playing post is Malik Dunbar. He is the same size as Draymond Green, has the length + athleticism. I don't see why we don't go that route

One hard and fast rule about college basketball: you can never have too much depth. Ever.

Anyways, I was more commenting on how if the shoe was on the other foot, no chance it would go our way.

Anybody on Scout see the article on Keon? Apparently it was “eye opening” but I don’t know the details.

Typical piece. He's visited us and Vandy still planning to visit Tennessee and Virginia. His mother is Conswella Sparrow(played for Ciampi, 2x All SEC). He wants to major in fisheries and liked our program and pretty much everything else about his visit.

Of course, but you are talking about the #7 guard on the team.

If we need that type of depth, the season isn't going to end well

The Tigers have brought in an interesting walk-on, 6-8, 200 forward Myles Parker, who played at Madison Academy, where he was All-State and a key performer on two state championship teams. He has a lot of quickness, good hands and shoots well. One of the AU staff members told me he is more talented than some of the scholarship players who were on the roster when Bruce Pearl arrived.

He had several D2 offers out of HS

Doesn't look 6'8 to me, but for a walkon, looks like a solid get.

I believe it, but that doesn't mean he's worth a shite

Assuming they are talking about returning players, not recruits, I bolded the assumed candidates

- Jordon Granger
- Jack Purchase
- Alex Thompson
- Tahj Shamsid-Deen
- KT Harrell
- Malcolm Canada

Article on the athletic about McLEmore's injury. Some interesting points about it

quote:

At Auburn’s summertime physical testing in July, McLemore went through the exercises just like everyone else. Despite a borderline catastrophic injury just five months earlier, he recorded a 38-inch vertical leap — a notch below the 40-plus he says he could hit when healthy but an impressive number nevertheless.

quote:

t. McLemore, meanwhile, has evolved as a reliable shooter through reps — 500 3-pointers a day post-practice, he says

You shut your whore mouth. He was a PG who took playing center in stride and somehow wasn't our biggest liability on defense.

He also was major part of two of the better wins under in the Bruce Pearl era

Xavier: 15pt, 5/6 FT 3STL in 2OT game. Played C against AllConf Matt Stainbrook
LSU: 14pts 5Reb in OT win SECT

Is bubba gonna be able to tell us the different kind of shrimps when he graduates? I feel like Lanier should spearhead this recruiting endeavor.

Purchase ended up being just a solid role player for Hawaii.

Solid role player for a Big West team isn't what we want Auburn

Anyway, who else thinks we could actually be better on defense down low this year? We got grown men down low. Spencer will turn 22 in January, Wiley will be 20 in January, and McLemore and Okeke are both already 20. We're going to be physical as hell in the paint

I predict a huge year for Wiley

Going to be difficult to have a huge year when he is sitting out for the first 2 months with a boot on his foot

You seem awful pessimistic today. Worst case he should be back with a couple weeks to warm up for SEC play. Best case he'll be back for the opener.
