An Auburn basketball recruiting blurb
LINK

quote:

Auburn has three commitments in its 2019 class, and the Tigers also have found great traction with a number of other Rivals150 members. Jaylin Williams will visit campus this month, and the Tigers have been a heavy factor for him over the past few years. They are the favorite for Tyrell Jones, a tough-nosed guard from Florida who will also visit Ole Miss and Louisville. Ismael Massoud is down to a final five, and Rutgers and the Tigers are the two with the best shot to land the stretch forward. Damion Baugh, Tyson Etienne and Isaac McBride are three others to keep tabs on, but look for Bruce Pearl’s bunch to leave November with the signatures of the three players: Jones, either Massoud or Williams and quite possibly another in the backcourt.

I wonder if Ishmael is Muslim. Oh the sweet universal harmony if a Muslim wants to play for a Jew.

We got a couple CBs for 4 Star PF Jaylin Williams since our visit yesterday. Our staff should be visiting Tyrell today and we are already heavy favorites for him.

Edit: up to 6 CB’s now including Jerry Meyer and Evan Daniels.

4-star forward Jaylin Williams commits.

https://247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Four-star-forward-Jaylin-Williams-commits-to-Auburn-121882211/

quote:

Four-star forward Jaylin Williams verbally committed to Auburn during his official visit, he tells 247Sports.

“I did it last night,” Williams said. “I always liked the SEC and then it’s not far from home. I thought it was the best fit for me. The whole coaching staff is pretty cool.”

Williams, a standout at Nahunta (Ga.) Brantley County, also strongly considered College of Charleston, Georgia, Mississippi State and St. John’s, before opting for Bruce Pearl and the Tigers. Williams said his decision really hit him earlier this month.

quote:

With the addition of Williams the Tigers currently have a four-man recruiting class that also includes highly touted forward Isaac Okoro, a rim protector in Babatunde Akingbola and an impressive athlete in Allen Flanigan.

Auburn’s recruiting class ranks No. 5 overall and No. 2 in the SEC in the 247Sports Team Rankings.

Awesome.. now we're just waiting on Turbo to join and complete this class for now, at least availability wise unless someone leaves early.

If I were still a student or lived close to Auburn I would try to make it - such a great idea. They should do that every year.
