I mean, look how long Wiley’s arms are and Bamba has him beat by 5 inches. Plus, Wiley looks like he’s got a wider frame.

Did Austin play in the first game or in this one playing now?

He's playing now. Air balled his first shot (a baby hook that was long). Then saw him hit at least one free-throw before they panned away.

Great condensed footage of Wiley’s scrimmage at the combine on Auburn’s official twitter.

AW had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks while going 7-11 from the charity stripe.

Apparently a stat that the Auburn website didn’t push was that be also had five fouls in 19 minutes.

Wiley looked like he was attacking the ball more when rebounding, instead of just waiting on them. Also seemed a bit quicker. Curious if he’s gotten faster baseline to baseline.

Of course he has. He was a second semester high school senior last time we saw him.

I guess I should have specified I wonder if he’s fast enough for us to still run at the tempo we ran last year.

Well, amazingly, there’s more to basketball than simulated jump shots from the elbow.

I know, ‘‘twas just too easy. But yes I think his speed would allows us to run with him, but he won’t be Daniel Gafford running the floor.

He does look comfortable with that shot though. Obviously it’s a totally different thing shooting in a drill as opposed to in a game.

He has to show it in a game situation. Like you said it's not hard to hit that shot without anyone in his face. Another thing he needs to show is that he is explosive enough to finish through contact. I didn't watch him play but looking at his numbers 9 pts with 7 coming from the line I'd assume he wasn't able to do that. I still don't see him as being in round 1 with all the other available bigs out there but I don't get paid to make that call.

It really is amazing. It’s almost like the drill is worthless. No scout can ever receive feedback from viewing the fluidity, the technique, and his comfortability in shooting non contested jumpshots. None, whatsoever.

His shot is smooth while being good enough to make an NBA team on defense and rebounding alone. That’s well worth a 2nd round draft pick as his jumpshot has solid form to build upon. Which is a stark difference in others like Greg Oden where it was a clear mistake in assuming the O would come later.

Wiley is playing now. Got denied a pass inside but on the other end did a good job of knocking a rebound out of ghetto opponents hands and to a teammate. Moved really well in transition. It’s clear he is most comfortable (and very good at) establishing position down low with his back to the basketball.

Saw a graphic posted by the Auburn social media team. Wiley (compares to the centers there) is the leanest (5% BF), 3rd in the shuttle, and 4th in the 3/4 sprint.

Do they measure hand size? I’m guessing they do but haven’t seen anything on that.
