#Auburn acting head coach Kevin Steele: "I thought we lost our edge after we went for it on fourth down and lost it by a couple inches."

Im not lying he actually says this.

Obvious even his short term has gone and left him.

I love that Steele helped us win games, sadly it came at the expense of having to put up with Malzahn’s erosion of Auburn for a few more years

But that being said, very happy to start fresh. This program has gotten very stale

Yeah, in retrospect it might have been better if Steele had performed as badly as we thought he would when he was hired. We might not ever have entered into that fools' bargain with Gustav at the end of 2017.

But then again we might have ended up with Chadwick as our HC, and would have fared even worse.

True it took a collapse to look outside the usual crew of suspects.

Remember, our collapse today came at the hands of several first team players not on the field. Two offensive linemen out and multiple defensive backs. Toss in every reason that not one of the Coordinators is capable of being a head coach and a lackadaisical approach to a Bowl Game as if the Ghost of Gus was on the sideline ...recipe for disaster.

At least Carlson hit two for us ....
