From Lashlee

After his struggles a season ago, Lashlee said he’s been particularly impressed by Johnson and how he’s handled himself on the off the field since that time.

“I’d say, probably most importantly is his body language,” Lashlee said. “I mean, look, let’s call it like it is: He went through something that not a lot of guys his age—that’s about as hard as it gets, you know? He’s a kid, man. No one was more disappointed with how things turned out for him in particular than he was.

“I think it just says a lot about him, how he’s bounced back, how he’s responded, his attitude, his work ethic and his demeanor and the way he is out there, you’d never know. He’s just competing every day and trying to be the best he can be, so I’m really proud of him for that.”

There were a few things about some other guys too but who really wants to know about a 2nd and 3rd string qb and our wildcat

This thread demonstrates just how battered AU fans psyche is after last season.

So in typical AU fashion we will run the table this year so they can crush us again next season

You think Tom Herman would come to this dumpster fire? The gene pool alone gives us potential

... but yes I meant Tom

More goddamn coach speak.

Screw body language. What exactly is Lashlee doing to fix Johnson's poor throwing mechanics? Hopefully not what he has been doing the last 3 years.

As disappointed as I was in JJ as a fan I agree with Lashlee. The fact JJ came back and is competing says a lot about the kids character. I don't know if he can overcome the things that brought him down, but I wish the kid luck.

Quite frankly I don't give a damn who plays QB as long as he can play it well.

You'll know when JJ is the starter. There's a poster on this board that will make damn certain you know and that he knew before everyone else.

im just sayin. It pisses me off when coaches like Tubs and Dye would treat their players like men, and now we have coaches that treat them like kids that need to be fricking coddled. Got damn Millennial bullshite.

ChexMix loves himself a good story.

For example, there was that time that he told us true freshman Myron Burton transferred because, despite being the GOAT receiver, he was asked to redshirt.

Nevermind that he wasn't a true freshman. Nevermind that he already used his redshirt or that he was actually trading in his cleats to be a male model.

Wait? How are they supposed to treat them? It pissed you off when they were treated like men and now it pisses you off that they are treated like children?
