Picked up a 96 Toyota SR5 4x4 for my son with only 82,000 miles on it for 2k from a friend who used it sparingly sitting in a garage.
Daughter drives a 2004 Wrangler TJ Limited that I picked up with only 40K miles on it for 9500.00. It’s blue book value at the time was 18,500.00. Also found out it’s a highly sought after wrangler because of the longer base.
They have done really good mechanically. The Jeep after 4 years with us has only got 51k miles on it.
This is what I drove in high school.

Black, 5 speed manual transmission, no air conditioning (because I was a young dumbass), I put louvers on it, had a serious stereo (worked in a shop in town), and put on some custom wheels.
Drove that bitch till it quit. Was my graduation present but I got it at the beginning of the 11th grade. 6 grand on the Ford A plan.
