It would obviously take some shuffling around and someone on staff probably Kodi taking a demotion to off field. But man Freeze would be so good as a WR coach / Co OC.

For starters, it won't help recruiting.

Secondly, guy probably needs life help rather than a job.

Thirdly, why should we hire a guy that just had the NCAA come down with sanctions on his school? Especially when we have the FBI looking at basketball

Freeze’s classes at Ole Miss were their best in school history. And he knows a thing or two about offense. I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to bringing him on board in any capacity.

He doesn't have any sanctions as a assistant coach. And the FBI is looking for info on Person not Auburn basketball

But there’s a reason his classes were the best in school history. It’s the same reason the NCAA is camped out in Oxford, MS.

He’ll end up in Tuscaloosa, given Saban’s recent tendency to use the OC job as a spot for career and life revivals (Kiffin, Sarkisian’s one game stint).

I'll pass. We need an OL coach.

I mean, if our OL targets like strippers, let's get this deal done ASAP.

He was the head coach of a team that just got sanctioned for cheating.

The FBI is looking into basketball team as a whole, not just Person.

If he ends up in Tuscaloosa with the young talent on that roster, bama may field the best offense in the history of college football.

It won't matter who comes in as their OC. Their talent is already off the charts

Just wanted to add most familiar with the situation believe the NCAA felt it was more of an Ole Miss issue than a Freeze issue.

Stidham and Freeze would be epic.

Saban and Freeze would be a disaster. Not for them; for us (and everyone else who plays them).

We need an OL coach. But if it means keeping Freeze out of Tuscaloosa, I'm almost tempted to hire his arse and hope he or someone else on our staff can coach an offensive line.

NCAA is a non-issue.

I'm sure Freeze could manage the OL. It's not fricking rocket science. Offer him $1m a year to be OL/Co-OC. He's locked in for 2 seasons until his show cause is up. Gus can take a step back and let Lindsey/Freeze create an offensive juggernaut. Best QB and WR group at AU maybe ever. Let's do this!

I don't often agree with your pessimistic arse, but you might be on to something.

Also, Maker's Mark.

I want Auburn to win another championship. I think Freeze could help that cause and I definitely don't want him at Bama...

I am also all for any competent help on the offensive side of the ball to help Malzahn from self destructing.
