We try to run Bruce’s scheme but the passing is horrendous and some won’t attempt to pass.

No argument from me on that. Watching Tahaad try to run the point guard position is hard. The minutes he did that last year were tough as well, haven't seen a lot of progress on it.

Nah just not gonna go overboard on some misses in the portal for a coach who inherited the roster. But it may take some time and continued development of players from Steven to get the cache that Bruce had.

We are one coach removed from Barbee being the head coach things could be much worse

It’s amusing you think anything different would have happened. He probably will be given 2-3 years to prove himself. I will be surprised if he gets a fourth if his recruiting is subpar, and not in the mix for league titles or tourney invites.

Nobody wanted Steven. Steven never proved himself as HC.

I get it and don’t disagree, but Cohen and others weren’t going to do differently is the point, so yes,

Why are you acting like if a search was done that the exact same results wasn’t going to happen.

That wasn't the topic of this discussion now was it? I like Steven and want him to succeed. That doesn't change the fact that he didn't deserve to be our HC. Funny how people have so much gusto for holding players accountable based on production but are fine hiring a guy with zero experience as a HC.

Then as the OP suggested, he should have been made interim so a legit search could be conducted at the end of the session.

You don’t do that for an entire season.

This roster has no chance with Phil Jackson. Just baffling as to what Bruce/Stephen were expecting with this size after what we've had when we've been good.

Yes, the "interim" tag for a year would have done wonders for recruiting.

...........or maybe you hire a guy who is familiar with our program and keep the entire staff that has been the most successful in the history of Auburn basketball?

ETA Bruce left him a very flawed roster. Again, we will see how he builds a roster next cycle.

It's not like Pearl is doing wonders.

You really are a fricking idiot.

This touchy feely fluff doesnt win ballgames. You Auburn men's touching feeling achy breaky hearts are why a business is nepotistic to begin with.

" I just love ole Bruce. He will never let us down. I love him. No I love him more! Bammer!! I love him more! I even want his son to be HC!"

Do you ever tire of being wrong?

This is a flawed roster. This roster is Bruce's.

We have no PG.

We lack in bigs.

Hall is the lone bright spot of our roster. Other than that, it's not very good.

Steven hasn't been outcoached. We have been out-talented.

It's mighty convenient to call Steven Bruce's right hand man before we hired him, but now that you need to lift some of his blame of the roster you say Bruce has been responsible for the roster. Convenient.

He has been a good recruiter............for who Bruce wanted him to recruit.

You seriously can't be this stupid. The staff recruits who the HC wants recruited............in every sport.

It has not been this way. You're either once again lying or not paying attention and using garbage arguments that waste my time. I remember quite distinctly Pearl going out of his way to tell us JJ Pegues was someone Steven wanted and recruited.
