We haven’t renamed it yet, technically. Just saying.

Btw the way, the guy they’re naming it after never graduated from Auburn
Bill’s parents and grandparents were Auburn alums but Bill went to Rice.
He’s doing this to honor his dad.

lol right. The staples center just got renamed cause they got more $$$. One of the most iconic names in sports venues. Money talks. Always.

I suppose you want to allow them renaming Jordan Hare Stadium too if some rich dude donates money…?

Are we being purposefully obtuse to how the world works?
This guy has been a long time Auburn fan and contributor to Auburn athletics, member of the Pat Dye Society. He contributed the largest donation in the history of our athletic department to honor his Dad, and you think it matters that he is not an Auburn grad?

Stick to the money topic bud… how many millions have been donated to the football program. If someone gives $50 million to JHS, you’re supporting renaming it?

Would probably take more than that.
And stick to the original comment I responded to, bud. Why does it matter if he never graduated from Auburn?

If it was called Auburn stadium….sure.
Our stadium has already been purposefully named.

I guess we can go contact some Saudi Arabian prince to give us some money and rename Jordan Hare to Mullah Akbar football stadium, so we can get that football-only facility built. I’ll brb.

So the answer is yes, you are being purposefully obtuse. Why didn't you just say so?
Why don't you answer the question? Why does it matter that he never graduated from Auburn?

Because the only contribution he made was writing a check. We are all huge Auburn fans, that’s why we are here. Jordan Hare is named after two men who spent the better part of their lives pouring blood, sweat, and tears into our university. This dude wrote a check. I’m not sure how you can’t see how this is setting a precedent.

When donors donate half a billion to build us a brand new state of the art stadium, they can name it whatever they want.

I'd prefer the L.O.L toy maker.
Auburn Arena L.O.L.
Or
Jordan Hare Stadium L.O.L.
