don't understand what you're trying to say.
You are trying to make the case that if Hank Brown was the guy, he should have been thrust into the starting role earlier in the season when the Qb play was atrocious

I am saying that it wasnt even an option because we were still running the Robby and Thorne system until after the LSU game. Both Qbs splitting reps with Holden getting the lions share of trash reps, not Hank.

Then we dropped the Robby as an option and Thorne improved. Come bowl season, Robby is out permanently, Geriner is the back up and Brown is now getting more reps.

Bowl game happens and Brown gets to play and shines. Yes, you can play it off as trash time, but Thorne couldnt move the ball, Griner couldnt move the ball, yet Brown could complete 7/9 with two drops and hundred plus yards and a scoring drive. Against the same defense.

We know he can because he already has. He probably has more wins in P5 than most.

Pretty flimsy proof. That true freshman was never the guy

He still hasnt shown anything.

This is reminiscent of Finley stans just because of one drive against Georgia State

No. I saw Maryland rushing 3 and 4 in zone defense.

those DBs were holding our receivers pockets in man.

The ran both throughout the entire game. Tell me how many times in each quarter and the down and distance when they ran man and when they ran zone. Oh wait, you dont know.

Just a blanket, well they werent really playing defense because they were winning argument

You are acting like Browns success was due to prevent defense when that wasnt the case at all.

I'm not saying it's impossible for Throne to improve and be good next season. But as the sample size continues to grow the likelihood of that continues to shrink.

I've stated my opinion before that year 2 is massive in terms of perception and momentum for a new coach. I don't want to stake our future on Throne suddenly clicking in this offense and in this conference when there are other options out there.

Also, I've acknowledged I don't think he is the only problem and we need a significant upgrade in our OLine for it to really matter.

Finally, I'm not a jville the backup is always better guy. I rode with Campbell and Nix long after most were ready to abandon them. I just don't see it from Throne.

ITs just a ridiculous argument. Auburn's Qb room is in shambles and we need help. There inst some savior coming from the portal so we gotta ride with what we have.

Thorne is going to be the leader in the clubhouse, but it looked like Brown was better than Geriner.

Randy, Thorne isnt the reason why our offense isnt clicking.

He is a big part of it. No one has forced him to throw pick 6s, fumble and not see the field. Thorne is not a good Qb. He is average at best.

Why do our players always look so flat? 3-4 games this year it looks like they were playing after an all night bender. I thought the o line was going to be improved but they sure haven't played that way. Freeze needs to take a different approach with play calling and motivation. Seems like there's no cohesiveness on the team.

We know the WR are bad and we can continue to blame them, but Thorne couldn’t even hit simple check downs yesterday and looked like he was lost most of the game.

We can do better.

All of Hank's throws here

All but one were three or four man rush with backups. The one resulted in an incompletion.

The OL looked like they just didn’t give AF most of the game yesterday.

One player we haven’t discussed is Jarquez. He ran the ball disgustingly soft yesterday.
