We have played a lot, a lot of players on defense. Good way to sort out who should start, who meshes. Have a much better idea now.
You try things that you need to work on, and players you want to test in lesser games.
A lot of things will be different for the Oklahoma game.

Our D has not played well. I am not sure if it's coaching or not. I have seen a lot of missed tackles and missed assignments. I have not seen much pressure on the QB. That's on the players.
In all honesty.........we may not have the talent on the D side. Our DB's supposedly were all over our receivers in camp. I have seen a few that I am not sure could cover me.
8 on D is kind of worthless. He is afraid of hitting. He can't cover and is slow. Other than that..............

I concur. Missed tackles, lack of d line push and pillow soft coverage has now elevated from concerning to "I don't see how we're going to stop any decent offense"

Thats why Ohio State tried to hire him away from us?
Its not scheme its assignments. When they go three wide to the side and three of our backs cover two of them.....I highly doubt thats how it was schemed. And I too am sick of the amoeba tackles, the armless shoulder hits, that too is on the players. Big hits will get you 3 seconds on ESPN, wrapping up will get you years in the NFL.
So you try a lot of different players and decide who you will start for Oklahoma.
We will win against Oklahoma, book it.
