After watching some of the other SEC West teams play, I made a few observations. Alabama looked great. Texas A&M won but didn't score as many points as I thought they would. LSU is in a rebuilding year with a new coach. They have a ways to go before things come together. Mississippi State performed well against Memphis. Their quarterback is the real deal and has good receivers. I thought Ole Miss was a bit sloppy, particularly on offense. Arkansas handled Cincinnati quite well. I don't think Cincinnati played as well as they did last season but Arkansas still turned in a great performance. What do you think Auburn's chances are against these teams?

Weeks 2-3 will tell the tale… AU must build momentum by winning the next 4 games… SJS, PSU, Mizzouri, and LSU are winnable. Harsin can’t afford an L here at any cost.

LSU qb rattles easy like Bo Nix. Get pressure on him and he takes off. Their Oline didn't look like world beaters either.

LSU- slight advantage AU
Penn State- toss up
@Ole Miss- toss up
Arkansas- toss up
@Miss St- slight advantage State
Texas A&M- slight advantage A&M

We absolutely have to find a way to win at least 4 of these games to have a successful season. Should be a wild ride. Our schedule sets up really well for us to win a lot of games, I just don't know if we have the team to do it.

If we keep improving each week, we should be undefeated going into October

Playing LSU early in the season is a possible advantage as they may be more cohesive and have better execution as the season progresses. Overall, your assessment is quite reasonable.
