If you saw the end of Seattle vs Arizona, you can't tell me Carroll wont be available within the next two years

I remember some of us commenting about how high it was but none of us seemed particularly concerned with it.

After we won a Natty we thought we had our savior gave him 10 million buyout goes down 2.5 a season so it is at 7.5 now...

So 5 million in 2013? I think motivated boosters could pull that off?

Either Chizik puts up or shuts up. I think Chizik is a great person and have no problem with him remaing the coach if he is winning, otherwise. . .

who would realistically be OK with the hiring of Bobby Petrino?

Not at all. I will stop watching and attending AU football all together. Not saying I'll root for them to lose, but I will not spend a single penny or second of time on AU football while he is there to support or cheer for them. Will probably just start following the Falcons even moreso. I cannot support Bobby Petrino in any way. AU is my alma mater and I refuse to support a guy like that leading the football team. Will still pull and watch baseball and basketball, but not football while he is there.

100% agree.

I will not be a part of a program that feels he is the best option.

I wouldn't like it for reasons other than moral or ethical. I don't like the hire because that's not Auburn football that he plays. Auburn is a defense first school with a running game. Petrino won't give us that. We need a coach who will shore up the defense and then put us in a system to use the running backs we have. Auburn has what it takes to be really good in the next few years on offense with the talent at rb we have and the monster OL we're building. We just need someone who can get the most out of what we have.

I'm just tired of the excuses. I want someone coaching there that's going to keep us competitive and out of trouble. We are not competitive and it is getting OLD having to read and respond to the "Auburn is Cheating" thread every damn week.....

Are you really surprised to see those threads on a forum dominated by LSU and Bama fans? Those threads will always be on TD to some extent.

If Chizik gets the boot (the real question might be "when", depending on how bad the season ends),

Chizik gets the boot because Gus is a shitty scout of QBs?

Well it's not like they don't carry water. While he did say he was frustrated with the threads, it's the underlying activity that is the problem.

Chizik gets the boot because there has been zero improvement since he took over.

Our defensive woes have been consistent since 2009. The same problems we are talking about now were present every season. On offense, we have gone downhill since he took over.

Negative trend = firing

Incorrect. Our offense was light years ahead of 2008 in both 2009 and 2010. 2011 was even better that the last few years of Tubbs.

I meant to say that our offense from 2009 (skip 2010 with Cam) to 2011 to 2012 have seemingly gotten worse.

I do not mean that from Tuberville to Chizik it got worse. Sorry for the that
