Honestly, we’ve all got to adjust to our new recruiting fortunes moving forward. Top 5 classes comes with shenanigans and that’s where we seem to be headed

No way around it We’re gonna get back to melting soon. Just didn’t happen this cycle

But now we actually have a chance at winning some of those battles and dishing out the shenanigans instead of being on the receiving end and I'm betting there will be far less melting!

We still need a qb.

Those two were gravy for me.

OL is the big concern again for the 7th or so year in a row. Wilfred and Carter help, I think. But those two plus Echols and Edwin was looking briefly like we fixed OL recruiting

Freeze said today at the presser he still hasn’t figured that out yet. That was nice to hear actually.
I’m glad it bothered him. Because that unit can absolutely tank every other win on offense if left under addressed

It's a solid class overall and a huge jump from where we were in the summer when it looked like a top 15-20ish class was where we were heading.

But when you take a step back and look at things from 10,000 feet: we missed on the majority of our targets today. It was a disappointing day and you could feel it from Freeze in his press conference. He thought we had KJ and probably LJ too but he couldn't speak about him because he'd yet to sign. Our biggest rivals are yet again leading the rankings in recruiting and we are behind them.

There are some positive and some negatives. It's not a bad outcome overall but it's not all roses and sunshine either.

We’re in striking distance though. It’s closer than it has been since the Chiz years.

Jhead is one of the insiders on On3 and the Bunker and this board still refuses to listen.

Bruh no way you’re crowning yourself as some insider to the level of JHead

You suddenly at the end of this cycle decided to start playing insider, likely because you took advantage of an On3 promotion, and now you’re building all these strawmen narratives propping yourself up as some sort of martyr because people don’t believe one of the worst posters on the board suddenly got deep connections into the program

Per 247:

Gus Malzahn's first full recruiting class in 2014 finished with 277 points and ranked #6 overall.

Freeze's class today finished with 277 points and #7 overall.

I have very good sources on PT and RW that have nothing to do with a message board.

The most important position of need for a decade and we still haven't addressed it.

You told us all it's not a done deal so we should probably hold off.

My inside info was PT was still likely to commit to AU but bama wouldn't be a shock.

Check. No one else was saying that today until after he signed.

Other source says RW is a lock. Who else is saying that aside from me?

Checkmate.
