Pretty staggering. Just in looking at the projected depth chart, it’s hard to believe how many guys just showed up

Cole Pinkston thinks Auburn’s #1 QB for ‘25 is George MacIntyre. Thinks Auburn goes after him first, then Deuce Knight
Both are Nashville kids

It’s not crazy to think this team can get to 8-4 regular season… and a 9th with a bowl game.
Four OOC wins is very doable… the Mississippi schools at home plus Vandy…. Beat A&M again… I mean none of that is fantasyland dreaming.

We are not beating A&M in college station.
i'm like jones. I dont want to argue. Just bet.

Well we’ve done it 4 times in 5 tries…. And some of those teams that pulled it off weren’t exactly title contenders.

they could go easily go 11-1 or 5-7 again

8 regular season wins is a lot different than competing with any team in the country.
8 wins isn’t a fantasyland expectation. I agree. Think I predicted 7 yesterday

Yeah…this feels like a 7-5 team… can catch a break to get to 8… or some bad breaks and go 6-6.

I am personally hoping for a fist fight between Jimbo and Petrino on the sidelines…

Both guys (MacIntyre and Knight) have struggled to start the year.

Im pretty confident Fisher would get fired if he lost to Auburn as soon as clock strikes 00:00
I think they have more solid pieces and they wont have mailed it in by then unlike last year. I dont see it.

What’s their classification? I know Nashville is huge nowadays but these kids are in super nice schools

Ability to stop the run is probably what keeps us from having a great year.

He is not ranked high enough. Only a .9927 5 star on 247. I think Auburn shouldn't even bother till they are at least a .9950

They’re both in Div II AAA I believe. TN does it different… public (Div I) and private schools (Div II) play for separate titles. AAA is the highest private school classification… but these aren’t big schools by any means. High school enrollments are prob in the 500 range.
Deuce just got to town in late July, and Lipscomb’s competition has been stupid tough (IMG at home and Saraland down in Mobile)… so it makes sense his numbers are bad… he was something like 11-32 on Friday.
MacIntyre plays for Brentwood Academy… they’re also 0-2 playing good teams… AU used to get some kids from BA back in the day under tuberville. He’s like 6-5 and a really good high school bball player. Has a good arm but no mobility.

if AU beats TAMU on 9/23, by 12/22 they would have to give him an early Christmas present in the form of a $21 million check - in other words, roughly the amount of Gustav's entire buyout, which just 3 years ago was the highest in NCAA history
then, on 4/20/24, another $7 million goes up in smoke - and every 4/20 for the next 7 years
tl;dr he's not getting fired if AU beats him this year

Fisher has been on the hot seat so losing to Auburn would make you confident he is safe?
I dont really care to talk about money.

they wouldn't can him for that loss
now, if he goes winless or even 1-7 in conference play he probably gets R-U-N-N-O-F-T but not til the end of the season
a loss to AU in September isn't gonna be enough to justify showing him the door
