Take the money budgeted for Riddick, cut it in half, go sign a couple other linebackers on our board (there are some good ones there) take the remaining half, put it with the money budgeted for the DL and go sign Kamarion Franklin and LJ McCray and call it a day.

Or save it for the portal season next year. Don't need them now if you can't get the guys you want.

Definitely seems like the staff is hoping for 2 TEs. Probably needs to be the right 2, but still

Speaking of, Auburn offered 3* TE Gavin Hoffman from Kansas

Like this one better than the 195 TE guy who just cancelled a trip. I wish we could get back in it more with Carter Nelson.

FWIW, his on3 profile seems to have an old weight listed. Everywhere else looks like it’s got him at 220 or 225

Didnt Brian Battie transfer in the spring? Dont see him in the OP.

Crazy to think Battie rushed for almost 1200 yards last year and no one really mentions him.

Battle was here, he played in the A Day game, he is quick to the hole that is for certain.

Battie All-American Team

Phil Steele thinks Battie is All American material.

Rightfully so as he’s earned all-American awards in the past as a returner

I remember someone mentioned Ronnie Royal, but he committed to NCST as a DB today.

We made the top 5 for DL LJ McCray.

JHead has a post about William Echoles, but I can't read it because my sub expired lol. Guessing not too much there other than maybe we are looking at him on the DL now (was an OL recruit initially)

Said he’ll probably OV, and that he sees Echoles as a nose tackle.

On Royal, someone mentioned taking him as a late addition RB this fall if we miss in Hill or any other targets there. Otherwise, I don’t think I’ve really seen Royal discussed on any of the paysites

Yeah that's what I was talking about in regards to Royal.

Poe is taking his visit to Bama this weekend too, so lets hope that goes horrible.

Looking at the roster, Faulk is now six foot six and 288lbs.

And Darron Reed checked in at 295 lbs.

Gotta admit the way they got pushed around at Aday during the run game is worrisome. Or is it that the OL line will be that good

I can't remember, but I don't think Reed was there for Aday.

Coen Echols committed to TAM. He was one of our OL targets.

Reed wasnt there, maybe he can now help plug some of those holes.

Pink really liked Echols, he said his style of play was very similar to Wade. Great feet, long arms. He also said it was gonna be tough to keep him away from A&M.

Im optimistic the big dogs are gonna walk a little late, and right to Auburn.

Echols was an A&M lean and never picked up much momentum to Auburn, unfortunately. I didn’t think we had a chance there

That’s OK, IMO. Our board is really long for interior OL right now. We’ve gotta hit on some OT guys though

Echols could also play Dline pretty well too though, and we aren’t hitting on any.

That is kind of concerning on the tackle front, maybe some out there we dont know about. Sounds like DeAndre Carter had a very good OV, maybe he will go back to his high school and tell his OT teammate to check us out. We end up with the numbber one tackle and guard from Mater Dei to Auburn, now that would be quite the coup

To your point though, seems like we are in on quite a few interior guys, tackle not so much.

Guess it is recruiting related in a way, I though Encye Sledge hit the portal, but I see he is on the roster, he decide to stay with the good guys? Lower ranked coming out of high school, no college playing time and jumps in the portal and sees the only takers are north western mountain swamp college and decided to beg his way back?
