Nevermind, I thought I had 2-3 spots still open on the defensive side...does the NCAA put a limit the number of coaches a staff can have? Anyone know the number if so?

Nix for LBs would be a great hire. I would like much about that.

Asked if he might change which position he coaches, Garner said he's coached offense before (at Auburn/Tennessee) and will do whatever Gus Malzahn wants.

According to JGT, Garner left open the possibility of him coaching something other than d-line

Why are people ragging about us having too many stAte coaches? I only see two not counting Malzahn, three if you count the S&C guy, and 3.5 if you count Kodi..
Been meaning to ask this.

Where are you hearing that?
Most I've heard/talked with think we have a solid staff at the least.

I prefer the stAte offensive assistants honestly. They all have worked successfully together. Why mess with it? The defensive staff so far has been outstanding.

It's called a vast overreaction by this board. It really shouldn't come as any surprise since that's pretty status quo for quite a few of the younger posters here.

Not to mention, most of them came to stAte with Gus from Auburn

I've heard several in Auburn say, "I thought we were a SEC school, not a Sun Belt one."

Well, we will always have a few fans that will bitch no matter what (we have a few here). I bitched alot this year, but I'm going to give Gus a chance.
I agree with what Jones said about how Gus is building the staff.

I know that, I'm just trying to figure out why they would say that.

B/c they can't see any further than Lashlee and Grimes hires.

The world is fool of fricktards and as sad as it is for me to say, we at Auburn have been cursed with our unfair share. Just tell them to FO and move on...
