Must be fairly new. Never heard of it until I read these last few posts.

It opened about a month ago. Wasn't publicized really. Looks cool, food is pretty good.

The Hound is one of my favorite places in town. The beer list is the best I know of around here, and the bison burger is awesome.

Considering they are booking up 2 weeks in advance and turning away walk ins on busy nights and hour wait on midweek nights, I don't think they have a publicity problem.

Food is really good. I loved it. Girlfriend says it is the best restaurant she has ever been to (from Atl and Bham). 9/10 people rave about how it is the best food ever, I have met that 10th person though who just says above average too

If someone put a Chickfila on south college near walmart I'd love them forever.

Oh and a pasta place like Nothing but Noodles or Tellinis or Fazolis.. I'm tired of not having a quick pasta option around here

If I owned the location at the mall, I'd move that one there...but that Chick-fil-A is the only thing keeping the entire place alive.

But I try not to go past Kinnucan's on South College for anything. Nothing down there is worth the trip.

Glad there is another Veggies location in town.

Never have been to any of these.

Better restaurants in better situations have gone under with this mentality.

Went to Bob's Victory Grille by Academy/Sam's a couple nights ago. Had no clue it existed until a friend suggesting going there. It was pretty mediocre. It felt like a poor man's BWW. Food was okay, beer list was average. They have a ton of TVs though. For the price, you can go to The Hound and get better food and beer.

Lulz. If you like more meat on your wings then Bob's is one thousand times better. BWW is the biggest rip off in the world and it amazes me people still go there.

I prefer taste over quantity. The wings were big, but the sauces were all pretty dull

Yeah probably. I'm not sure, I've only been a couple times. I just know alot of people like it so it was a good place to compare Bob's to.

For some reason he didn't bring the sauces he uses in his other restaurants to Victory Grille. It's mind boggling

I honestly don't see it lasting very long. It's a pretty awful location. They have the hotels out there and that's about it.

It's been packed every time I've been out there. TigerTalk being located there helps and there's really no other wings option closer now that Buffalo Connection went out.

We'll see if they can pull people from Opelika area consistently too.

We went on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Decent amount of people there when we got there, but by the time it was 8pm, we were the only people there.

It could be successful but they need to make alot of changes IMO. Cut the menu, dial up the seasonings, have some items that are uniquely theirs, add a trivia night (if they haven't yet), etc

As far as upscale dining goes, there isn't a huge list of options in the Auburn area which helps Acre. Considering the upscale dining doesn't carry too much of a price tag, there is a huge market of college kids as well as local Auburn residents with few choice in immediate Auburn area (we only have 6 restaurants on our OP and one is Opelika)

Acre has had news pieces in the paper and on local TV about their sustainability and high quality food stuff plus most upscale restaurants seem to work on word of mouth. Acre has pretty strong following in the college crowd and a number of positive reviews on all the food sites and facebook
