I'll give you $100 if Gus is fired, jvilletiger25.
If he's not fired, in return I'd like for you to buy me a sourdough loaf, Cabot butter, some procuuitto, and two ripe avacados. Should be about $10-$15 total.

If a move is not made this is going to be a serious crash for many Auburn fans that had their hopes up.
No better time than now but Auburn leadership is a joke. Always has been.

I have zero faith in the leadership at auburn to do the right thing.

I said it before that people would miss Bobby Lowder once he left, and this is a prime example. In situations such as this one he would be the one to force action and get everyone else moving in the same reaction. What we have right now is literally a scenario wherein a lack of leadership might lead to complete inaction. And here's the thing - no one really even wants or believes in Gus anymore. I'm talking about inaction due to person 'X' wanting so-and-so who Gogue won't approve, 'Y' and 'Z' taking a neutral stance, etc. Thats the worst spot to be in.

I agree with you on Lowder, however you are just repeating internet gossip. There has been no creditable information that Gus' job was even remotely in jeopardy this year.

His job is absolutely in jeopardy. There has not been even ONE comment by Greene or anyone else yet confirming that "he's our guy" - you don't find that remotely strange? Signing day is coming up and there has been zero vote of confidence on Gus, and if you've looked at our recruiting, you'd know that if his job was secure a statement would have been made by now.

And that is what scares me if he stays. Recruits are going to know he isn't really wanted and if only here because we either can't afford him or don't have the guts to make a move. That will be hammered into recruits by our competition which will tank recruiting and make it even harder to recover.
Even this class we only have like 12 commits so far which means to even come close to a full class we're going to have to bring it 10 or so from transfers but if they are 1-2 year transfers we'll have to keep doing that to stay near 85. Then if we have another class like this we're being the 8 ball in a horrible way.
In year 8 of a coaches tenure we shouldn't be banking on transfer portal for this much of our class. Maybe filling in a hole here and here but not what it looks like we are going to have to do.

He has multiple years left on a contract. Why would Greene need to make a public statement? Can you cite any information for your theory that is not a message board post?

He already answered your question. The optics. Recruiting. Gus still looks like and walks like a lame duck.

I want him gone. My feelings for Gus/Bo are legendary. However, we need to start getting our minds ready for Gus 2021. There is no evidence the admins want to part with him.
