Will we use TE/H backs most downs?

One back mostly?

It sure but I like an offense that has a tight end threat.

Did Corch do a post here regarding the base Freeze offense?

I vaguely remember something, but can’t find it.

Is base Freeze 1 back, 1TE, 3 WR?

Is it all shotgun?
Any Pistol?
Wildcat?

What are the strengths of this offense going into 2023 season?
Who has a chance to surprise us with upside?

This is correct. The TE can be hand on the ground end of the line, split out, or H-Back style stationary or in motion in the backfield.

Would have to say the run game. Maybe the short passing game functions at a normal level.

Everyone is excited about Fairweather but I think the surprise breakout player that really helps the offense go will be Luke Deal.

Seems like we have lots of options at that position.

Fair weather, the transfer, is he the flex out guy?

Maybe some of the big guys who rotated last year would be inline options?
Fromm, Frazier, and Deal.

Are there ace sets with two TEs?

Any sort of two back look? Jets?

Does he put 3 WR to boundary a good bit?
Is it a mix of 2x2?

Any good links to some base plays?

Will this line use more zone concepts?
Or just hat on hat assignments?

Is that bc of his blocking and ability to be a big red zone target?

Any formations with both on the field?

I’m looking forward to seeing Freeze make adjustments.

I could see Fairweather and Deal on the field together in obvious run downs.

I also could see Fairweather and Fromm in bunch sets standing up on each end of the line in passing situations. The could chip the ends then release into their routes.

I think the ability of Fromm and Fairweather to also collect defenders up the seams will open under routes for our slot guys.

And yes Deal and his blocking and ability to catch the easy pass will help. Maybe lined up offset from the QB and RB. Crosses across the face of the QB like he is going to block only to slip out into the flat with a big boy wide open ready to punish a backside safety when he tries to tackle. Obviously this could be any of our “blocking” TEs I just think Deal is out best of those and still has quality hands.

I am not that excited about Deal, but, yes, it's Fairweather that gives me the impression he is an actual great TE receiving threat.

I do not remember Freeze's offenses that much, but I also do not remember Freeze having gigantic offensive low points.

For the most part I am trying to block from my mind the offense that Freeze once ran at Ole Miss because we are going to have a different identity until more playmakers show up. There is also the sheer fact that Freeze technically isnt even calling the plays on top of that.

I tell you what...our fall camp thread that I am starting August 1st is going to be lit. Lot of questions and hope gonna smash.

Don’t know but i’m pretty sure I will be hammered by the third quarter regardless…

Freeze like to have the WR way out towards the sidelines. Puts the LB in conflict with run or pass. From what I’ve seen anyway.
