The QB isn’t the problem. The offensive line got beat all game long and Thorne was running for his life. Stutts spent more time chasing the DE than blocking him. We still have an offensive and Defensive line problem and it will take at least 3 more recruiting cycles to fix it. Thorne isn’t great but would be at least serviceable with some blocking. He’s having to make split second decisions with inadequate blocking and subpar receivers.

Harsin and Malzahn really f::ked us in recruiting lineman and receivers.

More often than not Thorne was laying down for the defense.

Ashford was better at getting away.

There’s plenty of teams with shite Olines and decent qb play. Baffles my mind that we can’t figure this thing out.

Very true but he also over tossed one by 15 yards and then short hoped the one rolling out to the right with the wr at the sticks.

I want for him so bad to be just a bit more accurate

Robbie and Holden were able to make forward passes yesterday. Thorne missed really easy open routes. I'm for a rebuilding year and what comes with it, but Thorne is a paid bounty hunter and fails at the basic skill stuff. If Thorne just plays average yesterday, we are in that game

Our OL got their asses beat but make no mistake we have no QB’s worth a damn.

I have to assume Holden sucks as well since he gets no opportunities.

I'm not giving up on the OL just yet. They made some holes for Battie. We have zero threat of a passing game, so TAMU just stacked the box.

Battie

He was the best part about yesterday.

He wears number 21 perfectly.

I am pretty sure 87 was the second worst part of my day****.....

They did have their moments on runs. Battie was fun to watch.

Any news on Alston, he made a couple of good runs too.

By the way, I am purely talking about yesterday. They got destroyed on pass protection. I think they did better in the run game yesterday. Not giving up on them.

Thorne would see pressure and turn away then fold up, just don’t see that type of fear from QBs at the SEC level often. How many times did Thorne try to throw it away? How many times on 3rd and long did he at least try to throw it up? Against Cal the pass pro was good and he was scared to throw it then too.

He also hit JJ, that was dropped. He also hit Hooks in the chest for a touchdown, that was dropped.

All of this is true. Thorne isn’t as bad as we think. He also isn’t very good.

Like, we lose a game…and then we watch Bo Nix put on a clinic.

And it doesn’t just hurt.

I already said Thorne is shite, but if you are completely happy with what the OL did yesterday and just want to blame it on Thorne you’re wrong.
