I had lurked for a few years before but posted only on itat. 09 was my first year at auburn and didn’t wanna keep paying for a subscription to itat. Knew I could get about the same news here for free so cancelled there and never looked back.

Had posted on itat from the time I was 13-14 years old to 18

We have to know each other.

ION, this twitter to thread is fantastic.

I know this grasping for straws, but if Steele says he’ll be back next year and it’s not in a HC capacity, I was wondering who might be familiar with Steele. Looking at all possible connections in Steele’s coaching history and possible candidates, the only one connection I see is Kiffin. They were both on the Alabama staff at the same time.

I think he and Cristobal might also have some connection too.

I don't believe you...

But smoke is Auburn is offering money to Cristobal. Bidding war with Oregon. I have a hard time believing that also - I thought money was a "problem"

Lol. I don’t understand the downvotes.

Literally just left a restaurant with a friend that works there. Said Cristobal was the guy. Guess we will see.

I don’t think he would be a bad hire. If he gets the right coordinators it will be nice with his recruiting.

I'm honestly at the point where I'll be happy with anyone but Steele. As a matter of fact, I'm starting to wonder if that's why his name was floated to begin with.

I think most people here are more than OK with an MC hire.

Steele is who we get if we miss on anyone and everyone. Same guy that told me Gus was gone before the MSU game is who I spoke too. Really curious to see how it plays out.

Yes. I would think MC would be a solid hire.... Especially given the alternatives
