Not a hater, but a realist. Sark sucks at every stop except when is calling O for Saban & more talent on O than anyone else

Sark has unbelievable talent this year that I could coach, yes. He’s also had stops in his past that were not good. But that experience has value, and he has made Mac fricking Jones a Heisman winner. he’s the most unathletic quarterback they’ve had there during Sabans run. Jordan Rogers said tonight pregame how much Sark is scheming guys open as talented as they are.

Plus, I think Sark has battled his alcohol demons.

He’s not the perfect candidate. Not my first, but He’s got clout with recruits, and the guy can score a shite ton of points.

It’s a dice roll as much as any guy in my book.

He is know nationally with recruits. Is not connected to the old Auburn guard. He improved UW and USC from previous coaches while plastered. There is risk, hit also a ton of upside.

I think Jimbo is the surprise candidate. He fits the clues. He has NO buyout. He has a relationship with all these aholes going back 25 years. Since the day he got off the plane in Aggie land and they gave him his new cowboy boots he has looked miserable and like a fish out of water. I am just guessing here and don't know anything.

Man, you could be right but I tend to try to accept people as they present themselves. He's never set the world on fire except for coaching a ridiculously talented bama team under the guidance of the best in the business.

Failed as a HC, failed as an OC and only under Saban with a team full of 5 stars, he's good.

I'm just a dude sitting in a recliner drinking my adult libation. What do I know?

I'd give him a chance, because I love Auburn. But I'd probably buy FireSark.com when he's hired.

So it’s Saturday evening and let’s go over some facts... we signed Gus to a $50 million dollar contract, fired him within two years, paid Gus $21mil, half which is due in 30 days... cristobal signed with Oregon, and we still have nothing.

This is false. Only UW, he went from 0-12 to 7-6. He walked USC backwards and was fired midseason.

He won 9 games at USC then was fired after 5 games. We are splitting hairs. He wasn't a complete failure like Kevin Steele, his competitor for the job.

Fair enough, but when he’s failed, he gets picked up by either an NFL team, a national power, or rehired by the greatest coach of all time. What does that say?

I want Napier first - but how has he presented himself on the national stage? As much as I don’t want Steele anywhere near our HC, he failed as a DC many places then he flourished here so much he’s a legitimate candidate.

I think everyone in the business thinks Sark is a brilliant offensive mind. His personal alcohol battles hurt him. But again I think he’s conquered them for the moment. Hell Bama fans want him to replace savanna. I hate to say it but that means something

Didn't USC win 10 the year prior to his arrival?

I guess we are splitting hairs, because I consider a HC getting fired mid season a complete failure. I guess your definition is different.

Wouldn't 9 games be less than 10 and therefore be walking USC backwards?

ETA- seems like Sark is the fan favorite for Auburn. Whatever. I'll be the hater next, I guess.

Is that failing at the HC? He didn't go 4-5 like Kiff this year.

ETA

He is not my favorite. He just isn't a bum like you are making him out to be.

I didn't call him a bum, but plenty of USC fans did. Players on his team said he was drunk and smelled alcohol on his breath and he was fired.

I don't really care he was drunk, I just thought he was overrated as a HC and OC. Only now is he garnering some praise because he's coaching 3 Heisman favorites.

I am not disagreeing he was a drunk. But Mac was a 3* recruit and his best WR is out. He found a way to get DS keyed into the offense and utilize his talent. This is considered Bama's most balanced offense in Saban career. To say he is a not qualified is silly.

No he was a 4 star and no 9 QB.

He has ridiculous talent surrounding him and if you don’t think any QB playing behind that line, with this WRs & RBs would be better than expected, I can’t help you.

Mac Jones was a 3* stolen from Kentucky.

ETA

And his development has been impressive.

Guess it depends on where you look 4 star

I’m no recruiting junky. Joe Burrow was a 3 star, maybe we should hire coach O next year when he’s canned by LSU.

ESPN is not creditable. Joe Burrow was recruited by Urban Meyer. You are trying to make shite up to fit your narrative. Listen, I have wanted Napier. But I see why some would want Sark. Same with Kiffin.
